Austin police dealt with two burglaries Sunday, one of which involved juvenile suspects.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said a 14-year-old and 15-year-old were arrested Sunday night after a reported burglary at the 600 block of Fourth Avenue Northwest took place about 8:45 p.m.

The suspects allegedly cut through a screen door to break into a home but were chased off by witnesses. Police identified the juveniles via Facebook and took them into custody at their respective homes.

Krueger said the suspects were taken to the juvenile detention center in Rochester pending formal charges.

About $1,500 to $1,600 worth of electronics were taken from another home in a separate case earlier Sunday, according to Krueger. Burglars allegedly entered an unlocked residence at the 400 block of 27th Street Southwest and took a Playstation 3, several PS3 controllers, six PS3 games, a Nintendo Wii, several Wii controllers and a Dell laptop computer.

Krueger said the burglary is under investigation.
