Sterling E. Thompson, 92, of Austin died Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at the Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin.

Service: A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with the Rev. Glenn L. Monson officiating.

Visitation: Friends may greet the family at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Interment: Entombment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

Funeral Home: Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Sterling and Vi Thompson Scholarship Fund at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, or to Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Austin.
