Law enforcement sources say Jason Mindrup was recently arrested at the Mower County Fair for drunken behavior. He was put on a 72-hour hold after violating pretrial conditions related to his sexual assault charge.

Mindrup, 42, of Waltham, was charged with criminal sexual conduct on Oct. 30, 2013, after receiving a summons but has yet to enter a plea. According to a court complaint, a woman accused Mindrup of sexually assaulting her in his truck after leaving a Waltham bar on Aug. 31, 2013. Mindrup allegedly denied those accusations and told investigators the woman asked to go to his house, but he instead drove the woman back to the bar where she had left her phone and purse.

Last November, the Brownsdale City Council voted unanimously to fire Mindrup. He was released on bail Nov. 14, 2013, pending the outcome of the trial. He was expected to refrain from using alcohol as part of his pretrial conditions.

Mindrup’s next court appearance in the sexual assault case is Oct. 22.
