BLOOMING PRAIRIE — Three people were seriously injured in a crash north of Blooming Prairie around 5:25 a.m. Monday.

A 1994 Ford Ranger was stopped on Highway 218 north of Blooming Prairie after an initial crash, in which no one was injured, when it was then struck by a 2003 Lincoln Town Car near 138th Street, according to a State Patrol report.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, Zachary Slowinski, 17, of Blooming Prairie, was reportedly taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin, as were Princess Meeks, 28, of Byron, and Shannon Irons, 36, of Dexter — the driver and a passenger in the Lincoln Town Car.

The state patrol initially listed 52-year-old Jeffrey Slowinski as the driver of the Ford Ranger, but the report was later amended.
