Audrey J. (Mrs. Robert D.) Anhorn, 84, of Faribault, Minnesota died Thursday, July 24, 2014, at District One Hospital, Faribault.

Audrey Jane, the daughter of Olaf and Ella (Christopherson) Austad, was born on May 12, 1930, in Austin. She graduated from Austin High School in 1948 and upon graduation, started working in the office for Austin School District. She married Robert Duane Anhorn on June 14, 1952, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Austin. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2013. Audrey also worked for over 20 years in the business office of the Faribault School District in Accounts Payable.

Audrey loved cooking and baking and entertaining for friends and family. She was very active in various groups at First English Lutheran Church and several bridge clubs. She enjoyed her weekly “coffee time” with friends, attending Gopher football games, traveling, and most of all, watching her grandkids’ activities.

She is survived by three children, Randal (and Lori) Anhorn of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sandra Rainey-Stitt of Chandler, Arizona, and Nancy (and Douglas) Zahn of Faribault; eight grandchildren, Scotty (and Melissa) Anhorn, Lindsay Anhorn, Brianna (and Gene) Trikoff, Brandon Rainey, Brent Bowdler, Travis Krenske (and Kailey Sammon), Ashley Krenske, and Steven Zahn; seven great-grandchildren, Hailey, Austin, Damien, Dominic, Greyson, Carter, and Mason; and many nieces, nephews; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; a stillborn son, Gregory Anhorn in 1954; her parents; and two sisters, Lorraine Stuewer and Eileen Minnick.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. First English Lutheran Church, Faribault, on Thursday, July 31, 2014, with the Rev. Mark E. Johnson, officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 and also at the church for one hour prior to the service. Visit boldtfuneralhome.com for information and the online guest book.
