AHS will hold fall sports meeting Aug. 4

The Austin High School fall sports season is right around the corner and the parent and student athlete fall sports meeting will be held Aug. 4 at 6 p.m. in Knowlton Auditorium.

New for parents this year, all of the registration for athletics and activities at Austin High School and Ellis will be on-line, they will no longer have to fill out the paper forms. There will be more directions coming in the next week. Questions will be answered at the Aug. 4 meeting. After the meeting on Aug. 4, each of the teams will break out and meet with their coaches to get season information. The meeting should last approximately one hour.

The meeting on Aug. 4 will be for the following student athletes in grades 7-12 who are interested in: girls and boys soccer, girls or boys cross country and girls swimming and diving. The following sports will be for students in grades 9-12, volleyball, girls tennis, football and cheerleading.

For those seventh and eighth graders interested in volleyball, football and tennis, please plan on registering for those during your time at Back to School Registration on Aug. 6 or 7 – those parents do NOT have to attend the meeting on Aug. 4.
