ST. CLOUD — A 21-year-old man allegedly assaulted a St. Cloud man over a period of several hours after entering his home early Saturday through an unlocked door, according to police and a jail booking charge.

The suspect, 21-year-old Corey William Becker of Grand Rapids, Minn., was arrested at the man’s home and booked into Stearns County Jail on suspicion of first-degree burglary, third-degree assault, terroristic threats/false imprisonment and fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Police did not disclose details of the alleged criminal sexual conduct, which often involves touching over clothing or trying to remove clothing.

According to police, officers responded a burglary report in the 1000 block of 36th Avenue North about 5:30 a.m. Saturday and made contact with the victim, who had fled his home and called police from a neighbor’s house.

Upon searching the home, officers located and arrested Becker, police said.

The victim was treated and released from St. Cloud Hospital for injuries from the alleged assault.

Becker remains in Stearns County Jail.

No one else was inside the home at the time of the alleged assault, police said.
