The Freeborn-Mower Chapter of the American Red Cross presented this year’s volunteer awards this week.

Seventy-five volunteers were in attendance at the meeting. Receiving special recognition were Board Member of the Year Julie Brunner and Volunteer of the Year Jan Birkhofer. Pat Hinz received the Eileen Nierengarten Volunteer Achievement Award, while Jeff Olson and Joe Braund were given the Jim Grunewald Disaster Volunteer Award. The following volunteers also received pins for their years of service to the Red Cross:
