Riverland softball team sweeps Anoka-Ramsey

The Riverland Community College softball team capped off its regular season with a sweep of Anoka-Ramsey by scores of 6-5 in eight innings and 15-0 in five innings in Anoka Monday.

Samantha LeMay, who is from Bell Plaine, had two homers on the day for RCC (17-5 overall).

The Blue Devils will play in the NJCAA Region 13A tournament Friday in Rochester. The Blue Devils will be the No. 4 seed of the four-team tournament and they open play against No. 1 RCTC Thursday at noon.
