Packer baseball team falls to Winona

The Austin baseball team lost a weather shortened game 4-0 at Winona (2-12 overall, 2-12 Big Nine) Thursday.

The Winhawks took a 4-0 lead after two innings and the game was called in the fifth inning. Nik Gasner took the loss for the Packers (2-9 overall, 2-9 Big Nine).

“It’s tough to say how the game would have ended, we were starting to make solid contact to give us some hope, and then the rains came and cut us short,” Austin head coach Chris Gogolewski said.
