Local artist Jim Wegner was the first person to put hammer to wall Tuesday as Austin Area Commission for the Arts leaders celebrated the beginning of renovations for the ArtWorks Center. Officials announced April 17 that they had come to a rental agreement with property owner Patrick Bradley to open the ArtWorks Center inside the bank building at 300 N. Main St.
