The Riverland Community baseball team has had three of the four MCAC Southern Division players of the week so far this season.

This past week saw Cody Schact, a sophomore pitcher from Glitner, Neb., and Ruben Corea, a freshman outfielder from Orlando, Fla., honored.

Schacht improved to 3-0 and kept his ERA at 0.00 in tossing four innings of 1-hit ball while striking out 10 and walking 0.

Corea maintained his .500 batting average (24-for-48) by going 3-for-6 with a double, triple, 4 runs and 4 RBIs. Corea is slugging at a .656 clip with an on-base percentage of .529.

Last week Brock Rude, a sophomore pitcher from Onalaska, Wis., tossed 11 shutout innings, earning 2 wins and 1 save in the process. Rude struck out 13, while walking only one opposing hitter.
