The Blooming Prairie baseball team lost 15-5 in five innings to Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (3-2 overall) in BP Monday.

The game was tied at 4-4 in the third inning when WEM hit a two-out, bloop single and the Bucs ended up scoring seven runs in the frame to put the game away.

BP (2-3 overall, 1-2 Gopher) had the bases loaded multiple times, but it couldn’t capitalize.

“We just couldn’t come through with that clutch hit,” BP head coach Paul Peterson said.

BP catcher Scott Romeo threw out two runners and left fielder Weston Fiebiger made a running catch into the left field fence that caused him to leave the game after he hurt his shoulder.
