Insurance agent attends educational academyPublished 8:22am Thursday, March 13, 2014
Mary Lewison of First American Insurance Services Inc. in Brownsdale participated in Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company’s inaugural Farm Academy Feb. 24-28 in Grinnell, Iowa.
Lewison joined 22 agents from the Midwest to learn more about farm insurance coverages, services and Grinnell Mutual’s operations. Academy participants also toured a local grain farm and implement dealership to reinforce concepts learned in the classroom.
“The Farm Academy was designed to offer comprehensive training to agents committed to serving farm customers. It covered all aspects of writing farm insurance,” said Kurt Eaves, a vice president with Grinnell Mutual, in a press release. “We had a great group of agents attend this program and we hope this training session provided them with new knowledge and tools to serve farm accounts.”
First American Insurance Services Inc. has been serving Stewartville and greater Minnesota area customers for more than 30 years. Lewison was born and raised in the small town of Rose Creek, Minn., and has been involved in farming for the past 23 years.
“In our Brownsdale office, we offer insurance for every need,” Lewison said in a press release. “Our mission is to be the most trusted and valued service-driven insurance producer. My commitment to you is to be fair, helpful and caring, and to provide ease and convenience when working with our agency. I will strive to provide you industry-leading sales and service of products of exceptional value that build long-term customer relationships.”
