Reading the recent Herald article about the Vision 2020 event that took place at the Library on March 8, 2014, it speaks of educating the tenants of rental properties. The best education you can give these folks is how to read, write and understand the English language. The majority of land lords speak English not the other 51 languages spoken in this community.

In order for them to flourish in this community they need to learn English regardless of ethnicity. It is the responsibility of the community, school system, church groups and other sponsors to make this a priority. The language barrier is the large part of the problem. The solution is for the community get on board and make this a reality.
