The Riverland Community College baseball team swept Bethany College JV of West Virginia by scores of 15-0 and 6-5 in Vero Beach, Fla. Thursday.

The Blue Devils (7-3 overall) scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to this the second game and they won it when Matt Bushbaum, who is from Osage, Iowa, came through with a no-out, bases loaded, walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh.

Ruben Correa, af freshman from Orlando, Fla., had another big day as he finished 4-for-7.

“Ruben is swinging an unbelievable bat for us in that lead-off spot. We’re finding some gems down here,” RCC head coach Scott Koenigs said.
