The Riverland Community College baseball team picked up a pair of wins in Mauston, Wis. Saturday.

The Blue Devils beat Fond Du Lac 23-1 in five innings and they topped Hibbing 10-0 in five innings.

Brandon Heal pitched a five inning shutout in game two for the Blue Devils (10-5 overall) and Cody Schacht didn’t allow an earned run in four innings in the first game.

RCC head coach Scott Koenigs was glad to get two wins, but he’d like to see his team hit the ball better as the conference season draws near.

“We’ve got to have some better at-bats,” Koenigs said. “I’m not exactly pleased with our at-bats with runners in scoring positions. We had some pop outs and strikeouts with less than two outs.”
