Hayfield’s Mason Moreno and GMLOK’s Wyatt Richardson each advanced to the semifinals at the Class ‘A’ state wrestling meet in the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Friday.

Moreno, a senior, won his first match 8-2 over Tyler Berguhis of Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City and he beat Ted Androli of Kenyon-Wanamingo 10-4 in the quarterfinals.

Moreno will take on Jason Meyer of Sibley East in the semifinals Saturday.

Richardson, a Grand Meadow junior, beat Ryley Smude of Pierz, 7-4 in the quarterfinals and he beat Tyler Patton of New York Mills 2-1 in the quarterfinals.

Richardson will take on Nathan Rose of Sibley East in the semifinals Saturday.
