A pair of area wrestlers earned trips to state at the Section 2A meet in Blue Earth Saturday.

Hayfield senior Mason Moreno clinched a state berth when he won the 132-pound championship.

Moreno, who is 27-1 on the year, picked up two pins and a 12-7 win on his way to the title.

Grand Meadow-LeRoy-Ostrander-Kingsland’s Wyatt Richardson clinched a state berth when he won the 195-pound championship.

Richardson, a GM junior who is 22-4 overall, picked up a pin, a 7-0 win and a 3-2 win.
