Blizzard warning extended until noon

Yes, the snow is still coming … and possibly with reinforcements.

While Thursday morning may have had some residents thinking the predicted blizzard was a bust, the storm just slowed, which could mean more snow.

This morning, the National Weather Service was calling for 8 to 14 inches — 5 to 9 today and 3 to 5 tonight. Other reports of snow totals are calling for 5 to 9 inches.

The snow should be picking up soon, and winds will increase to 16 to 21 mph with 38 mph gusts this afternoon. The winds will increase to 26 to 36 mph tonight with 48 mph gusts.

Some thunder is also possible with this snow.

A blizzard warning in in effect until noon Friday.
