The Hayfield senior Cole Kruger set a school record and put up a triple-double as he led the Vikings past Blooming Prairie 82-72 in BP Tuesday.

Kruger tallied 29 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists for the Vikings (13-3 overall) and he surpassed Kerry Linbo’s mark of 441 career assists to become Hayfield’s new career assist leader. Kruger, who is a four-year starter, leads Hayfield in points, assists and rebounds this season.

“Cole’s been a difference maker for four years,” Hayfield head coach Chris Pack said. “He has the ability to do everything and he makes everybody better. It’s hard on defenses when they have to decide whether to stop Cole or leave shooters open.”
