Hayfield’s Wagner scores 1,000th point in win over Rebels

Hayfield senior Dani Wagner scored her 1,000th career point as the Vikings beat Southland 82-61 in Adams Friday.

Wagner needed 19 points to hit the milestone and she finished with 24 points.

“Dani kind of took over for us,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said. “She’s stepped up her whole career for us and tonight was no different.”

Jessie Foster added 21 points for the Vikings (9-1 overall) and McKenzie Kirtz had 23 points for the Rebels (4-5 overall).
