The Elks National Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest will be held at Austin High School Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. Sign up is the day of the event.

The Elks Hoop Shoot is free to boys and girls who will be between the ages of 8-13 on April 1, 2014. Winners advance through district, state and regional Hoop Shoot contests. The event is sponsored by Austin Elks Lodge #414. The hoop shoot director is Patrick Byron. If anyone has questions contact Scott Schaefer at 1-507-396-2345.

Regional winners qualify for a trip to compete at the Hoop Shoot National Finals held held April 10-13, 2014 in Springfield, Mass. National champions will have their names permanently inscribed on a plaque in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
