Mr. and Mrs. Allen Bornfleth of Austin will celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary on Jan. 14, 2014. Allen E. Bornfleth and Dorothy F. (Youngdahl) were married in parsonage of the First Methodist Church on Jan. 14, 1939, and have been lifelong members of the church.

Together they raised three children, Bob (Sandy) Bornfleth, of Cottage Grove, Minn.; Cheryl (Gary) Maurek, of Austin; and Diane (Steve) Harrison, also of Austin. The couple has six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

After retirement, the couple enjoyed 25 years of ballroom dancing as winter Texans. They also traveled many years in their RV. One amazing trip was when they put their truck and trailer on a flatbed car of a train and traveled to Mexico.

The couple still resides in their own home in Austin. A family celebration is planned for the spring. In the meantime, cards can be sent to the couple at 2301 14th St. SW, Austin, MN 55912.
