Bench steps for Lyle-Pacelli boys in home win

The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team received a big boost from its bench as it beat Alden-Conger (2-15 overall) 50-47 in Pacelli Gym Thursday.

The Athletics (6-12 overall) trailed 27-18 at the half and head coach Dean DeBoer went to his bench, which was led by Matt Diang, who scored a season-high 11 points.

“They really answered the bell and saved the day for us,” DeBoer said. “I was happy to see our bench play well.”
