The Southland girls basketball team lost 76-45 at Chatfield (1-0 overall) Tuesday.

The Rebels (0-1 overall) were led by McKenzie Kirtz, who scored 26 points and a lot of Southland players were seeing their first significant varsity minutes.

“We learned that we can’t do a lot of the things that we did on B squad,” Southland head coach Bob Sheehan said. “Everything we did tonight can be corrected.”
