Rebel girls pick up their first win

The Southland girls basketball team scored its first win of the season in a big way as it picked up a 90-69 win over Caledonia (0-4 overall, 0-3 Three Rivers) in Adams Tuesday.

The Rebels (1-2 overall, 1-2 Three Rivers) had seven players score at least eight points in the win and they led 68-25 at the half.

Southland scoring: Katlin Webber, 17; Sydney Bendtsen, 15; Katlin Kirtz, 14; McKendry Kennedy, 14; McKenzie Kirtz, 10; Morgan Schmitz, 8; Olivia Gray, 8; Ashley Brown, 2; Maddie Wolff, 2; free throws: 47 percent (7-for-15)
