Packer boys hockey team falls to Dodge County

The Austin boys hockey team let a lead slip away as it lost 4-3 to Dodge County (3-2 overall) in Riverside Arena Tuesday.

The Wildcats scored two goals in the third period to take the lead for good.

“We just couldn’t bury the puck and we got out hustled in the third period,” Austin head coach Erik LaRock said. “We’ve got to find out how to close games.”

Sam Bennett, Jace Greenman and Nate Conner all scored their first career goals for the Packers (0-3 overall) in the loss.

Nick Castellano had two assists and Kenny Ree had an assist for the Packers, who out-shot Dodge County 37-34.
