Michael Veldman and Friends Christmas Show a big success

Published 9:00pm Sunday, December 22, 2013

Thanks to the close to 3,500 people who attended Michael Veldman and Friends’ “A Christmas to Remember!”

It was truly a magical experience for everyone involved.

Be sure to mark your calendars at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 when tickets go on sale for the 2014 Michael Veldman and Friends show.

We are currently gearing up for the Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Party featuring Denny Charnecki, Amanda Corey, and Joy Riley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Tickets can be purchased online at paramounttheatre.org, at the Paramount Box Office, or over the phone at 507-434-0934.

The box office will be closed Monday to Wednesday for a short Christmas break. We will then reopen at noon on Thursday.

Starting that day, our box office hours will be 12 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for 2014.

Our 2014 Austin Area Commission for the Arts Membership Drive is still going strong. Up to this point, we have 65 members. Please help us reach our goal of 250 in 2014.

Individual memberships are $5 a month, and family memberships are $10 a month.

Members receive discounts at local merchants, discounts on select Paramount performances, free popcorn at Paramount events, and a sneak preview of the new ArtWorks Center when it is completed this spring.

Contact us at 507-434-0934 or email at director@paramounttheatre.org if you would like to become a member.

We still have Eric Anfinson’s 2014 calendars available for purchase at the Paramount.

The calendars are $25, and the proceeds will go to support an after school enrichment program at Holton Intermediary School.

Students participating in the program will create a piece of artwork that they will learn how to matte and frame. The art will be displayed at the 2014 Austin ArtWorks Festival.
