Police say someone unsuccessfully tried to break into two downtown Austin businesses during the weekend.

Police on Saturday received reports of attempted break-ins at both Rydjor Bike and Firestone Tires. According to the report, someone broke windows at Firestone on Oakland Avenue but did not gain entry to the store. The damage was estimated at about $50.

At Rydjor, on North Main Street, it appeared someone had tried to pry open a lock and a window but didn’t get inside, resulting in about $150 in damage. The report stated footprints at both locations looked the same. However, police have no suspects.
