Steven Frank Johnson, 48, of Wabasha, Wis., formerly of Austin, Minn., died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday morning, Nov. 28, 2013, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

He was born May 28, 1965, in Minneapolis. Steve grew up in Austin where he attended schools before working various jobs, all of which he enjoyed. He married Barbara Dee Mayo on April 23, 1999, in Wabasha. Steve enjoyed spending time with his family, going to fairs, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Johnson, of Wabasha; his mother, Dorothy Johnson, of Austin; a sister, Kaylene (Miguel Tovar) Tovar-Johnson, of Austin; nieces and nephews, Trendon, Bradon and Kylan; great-niece, Nevaeh; two great-nephews, Lucas and Lazirae, all of Austin; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Johnson, and grandmother, Gertrude.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.
