Riverland women’s basketball team falls to NIACC

The Riverland women’s basketball team lost to North Iowa Area Community Colllege 105-42 in Mason City Monday.

NIACC (4-0 overall) has scored at least 100 points in all four of its games this season and it leads NJCAA Division II in scoring. NIACC hit eight 3-pointers in the first half and it out-rebounded the Blue Devils (0-3 overall) 57-42.

“This is probably the best team NIACC has had in fifteen years,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said.

Miriah Carruth led RCC with 12 points.
