The Riverland women’s basketball team lost its first two games of the season against some tough competition at the Minnesota West Invite in Worthington over the weekend.

The Blue Devils (0-2 overall) lost to Dordt JV 94-44 Friday and they lost to Dakota State JV 100-70 Saturday.

Victoria Larson had 30 points and nine 3-pointers against Dakota State, Miriah Carruth had 22 points and McKenzie Zuniga had 10 points.

RCC shot just 22 percent (13-for-38) from the field in the loss to Dordt.
