Johnny Parker, 74, of Columbia Heights has died. He was born July 15, 1939, in Albert Lea, Minn., to Larry Parker and Rose (Vomacka) Foss.

Parker was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Simpson, and step-dad Mel Foss. He is survived by his mother, Rose; step-siblings Marilyn Matter and Mavis (Bill) Bell. He will be greatly missed by his loving partner of 23 years, Kathleen Mullen, her five children Natalie (Jeff) Mansfield, Caroline (Dan) Jaeger, Patricia (Michael) Ford, Brian (Erika) Mullen, Michael (Amber) Mullen; and eight grandchildren. Kathleen’s brothers, sisters, and their spouses; and many special cousins, relatives, and friends. Johnny grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Lyle High School.

He served in the Army and was a Hennepin County Park Ranger for 25 years. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, with visitation starting at noon.
