Bruins sweep Kenai River

The Austin Bruins swept a weekend series over Kenai River (12-5 overall) when they won 3-1 in Riverside Arena Saturday.

Simon Petersson, who is from Vimmerby, Sweden, scored his first career NAHL goal in the second period to put the Bruins (12-3 overall) up 2-1 and Josh Bretner added a shorthanded goal in the third period for Austin.

Nick Lehr had 22 saves for the Bruins.
