Bruins blank Bismarck to get a weekend sweep

The Bruins finished off their best defensive weekend of the season when they shut out Bismarck for the second straight night in a 1-0 win in Riverside Arena.

The Bruins (14-4 overall) held the Bobcats (10-5-1 overall) to just 17 shots and Nick Lehr stopped all of them. Over the weekend, Bismarck mustered just 37 total shots on goal.

Trey Dodd, a forward from St. Louis, Mo., scored his second career NAHL goal to win the game for Austin with 9:40 left in the game.

The Bruins are now 9-0 at home and the lead the NAHL Central with 28 points. Aberdeen and Bismarck are tied for second with 21 points.

The Bruins are currently the only undefeated team at home in the entire NAHL.
