Gov. Mark Dayton recently appointed Austin City Council Member Roger Boughton to the state board of psychology.

Boughton, who has a background in counseling psychology said he is grateful for the chance to serve on the board.

“I figured I still had something left to give, and I thought I maybe I might be helpful,” he said.

The board licenses psychologists, as well as investigates complaints and other concerns. Boughton will serve on the board until 2017.
