Exercise, classes waiting at the senior center

Published 5:48 am Monday, October 14, 2013

As usual, we have another busy week here at the center. We have exercise classes every day. If you’re not attending yet, come and try them and see what works the best for you. Don’t forget about Friday at 3 p.m.; we are now playing ping pong. Come in and play. It’s such good exercise for both the body and mind.

If you are looking for ways to preserve that family heirloom or take better care of family photo albums, come to the Mower County Senior Center on at 2 p.m. on Thursday. Mower County Historical Society Curator, Jaimie, will teach folks how to take care of all their family treasures.

Caring for Your Family Treasures gives a brief overview of how to take care of things like clothing, quilts, glassware/china, paper, photographs, etc. It also briefly touches on the most common threats to each of these kinds of items and how to prevent them. Stop by and learn a few tips. To sign up stop by or call the front desk at the center 433-2370 ext. 0.
