Bruins hold off Blizzard as Lehr stops 40 shots

The Austin Bruins overcame a late flurry of shots by Brookings (0-6-1 overall) as they won 4-1 in Brookings, S.D. Friday.

The Blizzard out-shot Austin (6-1 overall) 33-9 in the last two periods, but Austin goalie Nick Lehr was at his best as he stopped 40 shots in the win.

Brennan Sanford, a forward from Holt, Mich., and Brian Bachnak, a forward from Riverview, Michigan, each scored two goals in the win for Austin.
