Austin resident Joshua Slezak, 32, was seriously injured shortly before noon Sunday when his 1999 Mazda Protege ran off Highway 105 and hit a tree about a half mile north of the Minnesota-Iowa border.

Slezak was transported to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Alcohol was not detected in his system. No other vehicles were involved, according the State Patrol.
