Austin Jaycees member earns state distinction

Austin Jaycees Member Brian Klouse received an award given only to a few through the Minnesota Jaycees.

Klouse was given the title of Minnesota Jaycee Statesman 1575 for his work with the Austin chapter and for his continued Jaycee career as District Director for the Minnesota Jaycees, which had helped connect and boost other chapters in southern Minnesota in past years. In the yearly wrap up, the Austin chapter and its president, Amie Klouse, also were ranked fourth in the state.

To make the top 10 means a chapter set goals for membership, events, donations, and activities for the members and the community, and the chapter presented its goals to the State Jaycees with proof of what they accomplished them. Austin has not been ranked fourth in a long time, according to club leaders.
