Area fatal crash victim identified

WELLS — Authorities have identified the person who died in a rollover crash on state Highway 109 two miles east of Wells early Thursday morning.

Barbara Hagen, 65, of Wells, died after her 1999 Saturn SC2 crossed both lanes and rolled into the ditch at about 7 a.m. Thursday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The State Patrol report said Hagen passed away at 7:44 a.m.

No other cars were involved. The State Patrol report said the woman was not wearing a seat belt, and the car was totaled. The report states road conditions were dry.

The State Patrol initially said a man had died, but later corrected its report.

The Wells Police Department, Faribault County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash.
