Apple Lane showing off with open housePublished 2:10pm Monday, October 21, 2013
Apple Lane will have a public open house and tour to show off its newly renovated community Early Childhood Education Center. The facility valued at more than $3 million was recently completed on Riverland Community College’s Austin campus.
Apple Lane, with a current enrollment of 220 children ages six weeks through 12 years old, addresses the community’s need for affordable child care, cited as one of the top 10 needs in United Way survey results.
Clifford the Big Red Dog from KSMQ will be there, as well as characters from Matchbox Children’s Theatre. There will be activities in the classrooms and refreshments.
The event is 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Riverland West Building, 1900 Eighth Ave. NW. Attendees should use the west entrance of the Apple Lane Child Care Center.
