Packer bowlers open with two wins

The Austin bowling team opened its season by winning both of its matches, against Rochester Century and Stewartville.

Against Century, the Packers claimed four of five games to win the match. Austin was led by Collin Bailey (8-for-10), Logan Hegna (7-for-10) and Elijah Rayman (10-for-13) in fill completions.

The heat and humidity inside the building started to cause some problems during the second match with Stewartville. A number of bowlers were having problems with sticky approaches on the lanes. This resulted in their inability to properly slide before releasing the bowling ball for their shots. After a shaky start, however, the Packers overcame most of these obstacles to claim a match victory, winning three games to two.
