Maria “Molly” Louisa Troester, 72, of Faribault, formerly of Austin, Minn., died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.

Maria was born on Jan. 30, 1941, in San Benito, Texas, to Carlos and Josefa (Gonzales) Tamayo. She was one of 14 children.
Maria married Herman Troester, Jr. on Aug. 16, 1967, in Ramona, Calif., Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Austin, where they raised three sons.
Maria was a great mom and grandma. She enjoyed doing sewing projects, hobbies and crafts with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Troester and grandson Steven Troester.
Maria is survived by her sons: Robert Tamayo, Rochester, Minn., Dale D. Troester, Sr., Owatonna, Ronald Troester, Tenn.; grandchildren: Emily Troester, Dale D. Troester, Jr., Annabelle Troester, Breanne Troester; her 102-year-old mother, Josefa Tamayo; and her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with the Rev. Michael Olmsted officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary for one hour before the service on Friday.
