Austin senior Michael Gaines is a member of the Team Max Bat AAA, which recently won the Power House Classic wood bat tournament in Rockford, Ill.

Gaines picked up the pitching win in a 9-7 win over the Northern Knights of Chicago in the semifinals. Gaines, who also plays third base, hit .333 with four RBIs in five games in the tournament.
