Austin’s Chamber of Commerce leader has been named to a state board of directors.

Sandy Forstner was elected to the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for 2013-14. As executive director of the Austin Area Chamber of Commerce, he will represent the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce executives.

New officers and board members will formally begin their terms at the Minnesota Chamber’s Business Conference and Annual Meeting, Oct. 3 at the Hilton Minneapolis.

The volunteer board represents businesses of all types and sizes across Minnesota.

Minnesota Chamber officers are: chair – Jeff DeYoung, Baker Tilly, Minneapolis; chair-elect – Dave Baker, Baker Hospitalities Inc., Willmar; secretary-treasurer – Todd Paulson, RTP Co., Winona; immediate past chair – Joe Maher, UPM, Blandin Paper, Grand Rapids.
