Howard David Johnson, 68, of 74789 270th St., Clarks Grove, was found allegedly holding 72-year-old Herman Bert Oldenkamp, of Oakland, on the ground near Johnson’s home around 2:30 a.m. Friday.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call, and found the two men had been involved in a physical altercation. Oldenkamp was transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. Johnson was arrested and charges are pending, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities also said the assault was the “culmination of ongoing harassment occurring over the past several months,” according to a press release.
