Austin girls tennis team tops Faribault

The Austin girls tennis team beat Faribault 5-2 in Paulson tennis courts Thursday.

All three doubles teams won their matches for the Packers (3-5 overall, 2-5 Big Nine).

The top team of Abbey Ball and Emily Johannsen won 6-1, 6-1 and No. 1 singles player Alicia Sforza won 6-2, 6-0.

No. 1 Alicia Sforza (A) def. Mikaela Isaacson (W) 6-2, 6-0

No. 2 Megan Fleiner (A) def. Genesis Carreon (W) 6-2, 6-1

No. 3 Lauren Moll (W) def. Jennifer Bogler (A) 6-1, 6-2

No. 4 Samantha Johnson (W) def. Maggie Leif (A) 6-3, 6-3

DOUBLES

No. 1 Abbey Ball and Emily Johannsen (A) def. Emily Toergin and Alyana Huynh (W) 6-1, 6-1

No. 2 Brianna Fritz and Maggie Trom (A) def. Emma Calmer and Kayla Pfeffer 6-0, 6-3
