The Austin Bruins opened their season with a 3-2 overtime win over Port Huron in the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, Minn. Wednesday.
Drew Anderson scored in the first minute of OT to give Austin (1-0 overall) the win.
Jay Dickman tied the game at 2-2 in the second period and Guillaume LeClerc cut it to a 2-1 Port Huron lead with a first period goal.
Things did not start strong for the Bruins as they allowed goals on the first two shot attempts of the game by Port Huron and Austin trailed 2-0 just three minutes into the game.
After giving up those two early scores, Austin goalie Nick Lehr stopped the next 21 shots he saw in a row.
